Prior to founding Mathews Lighting Group, Ben Mathews worked in his family’s business, Lucifer Lighting, for seven years in various capacities, from Director of Supply Chain and Production to Vice President of Engineering and New Product Development. His products won numerous awards — including a German Design Award in 2017— and have been specified in projects ranging from McDonald’s to the Museum of Modern Art in New York City. While there, he saw an opportunity to provide more proactive and customer-friendly lighting distribution services, focused on building and sustaining long-term relationships.
Mathews Lighting Group was established on the principle of supporting customers and specifiers above all. Our areas of expertise include commercial, hospitality, and residential projects.
